Numbers app

I can't open Numbers app on my iMac. It looks like it updated 2 days ago to version 12.1. I haven't opened this app for approximately 1 month. I've forced quit several times the app as it just hangs up. I did get to open my spreadsheet one time, but could not do anything with it as the app was hung up again.

I've shut down, restarted several times my iMac thinking that it just did not open properly. No help.

Any suggestions - iMac Monterrey 12.4, plenty of storage available (928.12 GB)

iMac 21.5″, macOS 12.4

It could be that it's trying to open a file that was open the last time you quit Numbers & that file is corrupt. Try holding down the Shift key while launching Numbers to bypass opening any file that was open.

If rebooting does not fix it, you could try deleting the app then redownloading it from the App Store. While you are there, go to the preferences for App Store and deselect automatic updates.
