WindowServer stuck at 100%+

When watching videos from Udemy, using Google Chrome (102.0.5005.115) my windowServer gets stuck at 100%+ everytime I start watching something from there.

It doens't matter if I close Chorme, or kill all processes related to Chorme/Google. WindowServer will be stuck at 100%+

I am using a MacBook Pro 14 (2021) macOS Monterey 12.0.1.

I am wondering if anyone came across something like this and if there's a workaround for this issue.

Updating to macOS 12.4 seems to have solved the issue.

Note: I also noticed (after the original post) that having meetings at MS Teams would make WindowServer go 100%+ CPU and be stuck there. Like I said above, the update fixed all these issues.

Hello paulotcj,

We understand you're running into some issues using Google Chrome on your Mac. Does this only happen when watching videos? Does it happen on multiple websites?

It sounds like this might be an app-specific issue, but updating macOS to at least the latest version of macOS Monterey and updating Chrome could be helpful. Be sure to back up first:

If the issue persists, let us know.

Take care.
