Lost most of my important photos when my phone updated to IOS 15- losing my mind

Recently my phone was acting up because of there being no storage space and it was stuck in a boot loop, so I recovered and updated it through iTunes on my Mac but now I'm missing so many photos that haven't synced back up with my laptop. I can see them all on my laptop but I'm not sure how to put them back on my phone without losing them, I really need them as there's photos of now deceased pets on there that I desperately want to keep. Please help because I'm so frustrated and confused by the advice I've found through forums and google.

Hello,

I'm going to try to help you.

What I understand is that you have all your photos on your Mac and recently you had a problem with your iPhone and you solved it by recovering through iTunes. You would now like to have your photos (back) on your iPhone.

First of all, I recommend that you make sure you have a backup of your photos(!!).

What you can do is upload your photos to the iCloud. If your Mac and your iPhone are logged into the same Apple ID account your photos will be automatically synced between your Apple devices.

This article can help you with that:

Set up and use iCloud Photos - Apple Support

Upload and download photos using iCloud.com - Apple Support

It is also possible to sync your photos between your Mac and iPhone. This article will help you do just that:

Sync photos between your Mac and iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

I hope this helps you and again make sure you back up your photos because you don't want to lose any precious ones.
