IPhone - MacMini interface update prompt.

The iPhone interface update prompt appears repeatedly, but every time, after consuming substantial bandwidth to download, an "Installation Failed" message appears. How do I get either: Installation to succeed, or a determination that update is not needed, so update need message does not reappear?.The interface seems to work reasonably, but integration and synchronization can be improved substantially.


Problem occurring with:

MacMini 2018, MacOS Big Sur 11.6.7,

interfacing to

iPhone 7, iOS 15.5

Mac mini, macOS 10.13
