Apple Music with Airplay solves Sonos dropouts when using PC Song library.
This is not a question but a solution to a problem I had using Sonos and Windows.
The problem: When I streamed my personal music library from my Windows PC, there would be regular audio dropouts. (sometimes for a few seconds, sometimes a complete stop of streaming)
Sonos showed Error Messages claiming slow WiFi. But, each time I checked, my WiFi was more than sufficient.
The solution I found in an online YouTube video. The only requirement for this to work is that at least one of your Sonos components must be recent enough to work with Airplay.
First, select the song(s) you wish to play from your Apple Music library and create a play list. Hit play. On the upper right click on the Airplay icon. Your Airplay Sonos device should show up. Check that.
Now go to the Sonos controller or phone app. Select the other Sonos devices you wish to add, or "Party Mode" for all Sonos devices.
Initially, you might get a slight few seconds when your Mac changes from playing your Library through your Apple Computer to the Sonos components. After that, in my experience, there has been no audio dropouts.
This issue was a major problem for hundreds of Windows users, so I thought this information could help many people.
