Monterey 12.4 - Calendar SEARCH not working

Three weeks ago I upgraded to Monterey. Messages has seemingly sorted itself out. But Calendar has no search results on my Macbook Pro 2017. Monterey is 12.4. Search still works on my iphone X.

I've read through a history of Monterey Calendar Search not working. Some (and only some) say it cleared overnight. Has there been a fix? Please - what can I do.... I need this.

Thank you!

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.4

Hello Alison Moss,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

You can try to rebuild your Spotlight Index. Keep in mind this can take some time.

Rebuild the Spotlight index

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Spotlight.
  2. Click the Privacy tab.
  3. Drag the disk or folder that you want to index again to the list of locations that Spotlight is prevented from searching. Or click the add button (+) and select the disk or folder to add.
  4. You can add an item to the Privacy tab only if you have ownership permissions for that item. To learn about permissions, choose Help from the Finder menu bar, then search for “permissions.”
  5. From the same list of locations, select the disk or folder that you just added. Then click the remove button (–) to remove it from the list.
  6. Quit System Preferences. Spotlight will reindex the contents of the disk or folder. This can take some time, depending on the amount of information being indexed.
