Time Machine Restore Problem

Genius Bar required clean re-install IOS. Successfully restored partial data with Passport/Time Machine. Now I want to restore to last date on previous IOS (Monterey). How do I do that? Time Machine will not activate restore (greyed out). I know the data is there because it was an option at initial Restore.

Q - " Genius Bar required clean re-install IOS. "

A - There must have been a specific reason this was required ?

A - This is very important to know why before moving forwards with the Restore aspect of your question above.

A - Issues that may exist at the time the Time Machine Backup was performed will be migrated to the New Installation. This would badly pollute the new Pristine installation of macOS Monterey
