Can I recover the data on my 2013 MacBook Pro 13" Retina A1502 that's completely dead?

My MacBook pro 13" A1502 is completely dead. All attempts to start the system has failed. I have loads of important work on this laptop. Is there a way I can recover these files?

Any assistance will be appreciated.

If you have a recent backup, the data might be there.

The SSD on a 2013 model is removable. If it is using the original Apple SSD, then you will need to get an OWC Envoy Pro Enclosure so you can connect it to another Mac. If it is using a third party M.2 SSD, then use an appropriate USB M.2 Adapter/enclosure. If it is a third party direct drop in replacement SSD like the OWC Aura, then I am not aware of any adapters or enclosures for it.

You should always have frequent and regular backups of your computer and all external media (including the cloud) which contains important & unique data.
