canon pixma G3100 on mac air

My scanner stopped working. Printing works fine. OS Version 10.15.7

Scanning is supported by a Canon ICA (image capture) driver. See this link for the printing/scanning drivers released in Fall 2021 for the G3100 on Catalina. Change that selector from Mac OS X (Detected) to macOS 10.15 to see the drivers.


Once you have installed these, visit System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, and right-click on your G3100 entry in Printers and choose Reset Print System… You would then select the newly installed G3100 drivers and re-add the printer. There may or may not be additional scanner setup on that Printers & Scanners panel. Apple's Image Capture should detect the scanner.
