Safari iCloud bookmark/favorites order is not syncing correctly

I'm obviously not the first to have reported this, but since someone/something inexplicably keeps closing open issues, precluding any other Apple users here from adding useful advice, insights, or reports, I guess I'll open up another one.

So I have the saaaaaame problem (in short: I have my bookmarks the way I like them, and they appear correctly on my MacBook Air and my iPhone and my iPad, however the order of these bookmarks, and most notably, the favorites, is forever garbled on my iMac), and this annoyance has persisted for a while, so since Apple seems uninclined to fix an unambiguous bug experienced by many people, I depend on the kindness of strangers for help. And no, please no Knowledge Base articles, I beg. This ain't my first rodeo.
