SE iPhone SMS message failure
last month I set up a new iPhone SE (managed by my employer) when I send an SMS message to presumably a non Apple device I get a ‘message failed to send’ response. In some cases the recipient does receive the message.
if I select to try again, there’s an option to “send with primary”.
The phone has a physical SIM card which is active with TELUS (Canada). The carriers for my other devices is Shaw (Canada) and AT&T (USA)
if I push it through a couple times then there seems to be no further issues with that particular number or if I get a response from the recipient.
I have 3 phone numbers on my iCloud account and for this new iPhone I’ve selected start new conversations with this number.
I also have a couple devices that do not have SIM cards (iPad & iPhone)
no problems with iMessage. Just SMS/ MMS.
im thinking there’s some setting issue.
