What does error -2002F mean?

I tried to re-install MacOS High Sierra on my Intel MacBook Air 2011, but after too many hours that installer was running during the night woke up to a warning screen saying:

apple.com/support

-2002F

That's a miserable user experience. 😢

What should I do now?

This is the error I get when I try to upgrade to Monterey: “The operation couldn’t be completed. (PKDownloadError error 8.)" I'm not sure what is wrong and I would love any advice on how to fix this. "The file can't be found." on booting... Everytime I start my MacBook Pro (intel chip), I get two error message. Both say "The file can't be found". This has been happening ever since I updated to big sur. I have to click on "OK" (twice) to make them go away. Neither does it tell you what file can't be found. I just updated to Ventura 13.1 and the problem remains. As does the control strip/touch bar issue. Is Apple going downhill...SMH.

The error code -2002F usually means there is No Active and Functional Internet Connection

Best Results are via Ethernet Cable to Router

error "2002f" was reported when i had DHCP forwarder enabled on the router.

the solution was simple:

1 - I had to set the static DNS servers to google's DNS IP addresses instead of openDNS.

2 - I Had to enable "DNSmasq for DHCP" & "DNSmasq for DNS"
