iMovie “missing file”

i had my vlog camera plugged into my mac book and i imported a few clips into iMovie. i didn’t realize the clips weren’t finished uploading before i unplugged my camera from my laptop so i connected my camera again and re uploaded these videos but it’s been showing me “missing file” in imovie idk how to fix this and youtube has no answer

Anything imported with edits will be preserved with edits. I meant before that edits that had been done in iMovie, but then the clip became corrupted, any re-imported source media would of course not contain the edits even though it was replacing an edited clip. The edits prior to import that were done in your SD clips will be preserved. So you would be good to go if they successfully import and play in iMovie.


You can get rid of the "missing clips" by selecting them in the timeline and pressing delete on your keyboard. That will remove them from the timeline. They will remain in the media browser and you could just leave them there or delete them.
