Are you syncing with any other devices?
Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes or more.
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
If you have no POP accounts & they’re all IMAP accounts then in Mail’s Mailbox menu choose Rebuild.
Try setting Trash to On My Mac box...

Login to your WebMail in a browser, delete some there, do they disappear from Mail?
I done the above suggestion and I no longe receive the error code. However, all my deleted emails keep reappearing in my Inbox! I've deleted them numerous times but they still keep coming back. Help!

I tried deleting some emails through webmail and it seemed to work. However, they are still showing up in my actual Inbox.
