I have an old 27" Mac Late 2009 with High Sierra installed but want to use it as a monitor for my new 2021 iMac with Monetary installed. I have attached the cable between but can't get the Command-F2 to do anything? what am I doing wrong?

Target Display Mode was discontinued years ago. Your 2021 iMac is too new.

Sorry, it cannot be done. Your Mac is a computer, not a display. There are many fine displays on sale for reasonable prices.
