connecting 2 displays with M1 macbook pro

Hi i have to connect two external displays to the M1 pro. i could see many posts on internet on buying display link hub to connect two displays but is there any other cheaper option to connect them. it feels ridiculous spending $2500 AUD on a laptop and not having that functionality .
