Battery drain since iOS 15.6 is ridiculous

hank ~ To have lost only 7% caoacity since Jan 2020 is unexpectedly good — a decline of 1% each month or two being typical. At that rate it should have declined by at least 16% (1% every two months during 32 months.)

It's actually a great feature that will, in the long run, increase the overall life of your battery. I'd recommend considering using it. See the article above on when to charge your battery.

Like the majority of us his phone was fine until that dreaded update. Mine was. It’s just another unfortunate apple bug that comes with each update. Even after the new update they still haven’t fixed it. Sucks.

IWhat if had optimized battery on before the update and it was always fine? Does that update affect that part of the phon? Nine of the updates did before. It’s a new bug in my eyes. Still not fixed either and I rarely use anything and stuff is always off. So low battery mode redux.

Still the same, even worst with 16.0.3. Did the update from 15.7 to 16.0.3 and on all of my devices it‘s a more worst instead of getting better. Users still complain over all devices with IOS 16.0.3. Forget all about this topics on battery health, battery saving, re-setup the device blablabla….. I did all this very time consuming things in close contact with Apple support, but all the set actions failed. Apple has to realize that their software in regards with battery life is just a nightmare!

I haven’t been following the thread & just came back to it. I made zero changes to my phone, but it did actually get back to normal after one of the updates. I’ve only even had my phone 2 years & I’ve had previous iPhones much longer & I’ve never upgraded due to loss of function. Yes, batteries are consumables & deteriorate - not overnight. Again, I’ve had iPhones much longer than this one & never had a battery perform that poorly, so regardless of what the “experts” have said about it being normal deterioration to the battery due to age & usage, that is not the case. If that were true, it never would have improved with no changes other than an update. You can’t reverse age a battery.

What was the earlier iOS version that you had on your device where this issue was not there?

OK, so you have decided to complain rather than ask for help. I won’t bother responding again.

After updating to 15.6 my phone shutdown repeatedly like crazy once removed from changing. Now I have to connect it to power bank ALL THE TIME.

Same here & I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max. I’m sorry I updated my phone. Apple better come up with a fix quick. This 15.6 update is sucking the life out of my phone even when plugged in to charge

Please don’t if your idea of help is to blame Phone users and their Apps are always at fault , then you are not helping your rubbing salt on wounds

Why does the battery usage menu show how much each app drains, but it does not show much the iOS itself drained?
