WhatsApp not backing up to iCloud no matter what I do

There was about 300Mb of a WhatsApp backup showing on iCloud that I deleted hoping a new one would take but it’s done nothing since then, I don’t even know what got deleted in the first place since my iCloud seems to have the same amount of storage used up

I also have ample storage on my iCloud with all settings set to On

I’d love to get my WhatsApp back up updated, it gives me anxiety that it’s not and I’ll lose all my data if I lose this phone or buy a new one!
