apple music on roku

I recently signed up for Apple Music - going through the steps to create an Apple ID etc. I then selected the Apple Music app in the Roku store - going through the device registration process. When I select this app on my Roku it brings up a menu bar in grey scale and a big message in the centre "Get Personalised Music...". However my Roku remote does nothing! I cannot select anything or move the 'cursor'. Does anyone know how to get the app working on Roku?

Have you tried restarting the device then testing again, since it sounds like it's not responding?
