iPad Mini 4 stuck in endless App Store signin loop

How does this bug still exist? It's been reported for years.

I have an Apple iPad Mini 4 that is now bricked by this bug. I reset the device to factory and created a brand new Apple ID. Verified it with e-mail and telephone (annoying breach of privacy when downloading only free apps) but it doesn't work. There is an endless loop to sign in to the Apple ID. Signing, review terms, use existing ID, sign in, repeat.

Restarting the iPad doesn't work, signing in and out doesn't work. Nothing works.

This is extreme negligence on the part of Apple, this is a long standing bug.

The iPad had to be erased. No rhyme or reason why, it was already freshly erased. It seems like it wasn't working because there were at least 4 or 5 instances of unnecessary re-entry of the Apple ID and password but eventually it worked and allowed the download of free apps. This is a criminal level of incompetence and neglance from Apple. This is a widely reported bug for years and there is no standard solution.

Which they are very clear about. But, it's not useless. There definitely have been changes made based on user feedback campaigns.

It is not at all clear what you expect to accomplish with this post. No one here in this user-to-user forum can tell you why Apple has done or has not done something or what their plans for the future are. I suggest you take the matter up with Apple directly.
