Cannot sign into new MacBook Pro

I just purchased a new Mac Pro computer. Completed mitigation process, but now I am unable to sign into the new computer with my original password. I have restarted the computer many times and tried manually typing in the username and password with no luck. Could someone please tell me how to fix this?!
