Continuity Camera on iPhone to Mac

I meet all the System Requirements for Continuity Camera, iPhone 8 Plus, Mojave, Bluetooth/Wifi, both same Apple ID, and yet it is grayed out as not an option. Why? What am I missing here?

Be Certain all System Requirements are Met:

Troubleshooting Continuity Camera on iPhone to Mac


A. Comcast is Laggy Recently:

I've noticed recent reports that Comcast is taking a few extra minutes to go through. While fellow users are on the phone with Apple Support, and they are troubleshooting connections, a Comcast eMail can take a few extra minutes.


B. Troubleshooting iPhone WiFi:

A few thoughts to try:


I. Start Here: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch won't Connect to a Wi-Fi Network - Apple Support


II. Clear the Temporary Internet Files:


III. Restart your Router:

  1. Power: off the router
  2. Wait: 30 seconds
  3. Power: It back on


IV. Reconnect to your Network:

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: Wi-Fi
  3. Disable: Wi-Fi
  4. Wait: 30 seconds
  5. Enable: Wi-Fi


V. Add Back the Network:

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: Wi-Fi
  3. Remove: the network
  4. Wait: 30 seconds
  5. Add: the network back


VI. Reset All Network Settings to Default:

Example of items that will be reset: (Wi-Fi Passwords, VPN Connections, etc):

  1. Go To: Settings
  2. Tap: General
  3. Tap: Reset
  4. Tap: Reset Network Settings.
  5. Enter: [Your Passcode]

I've already read all that and meet every requirement there. I even checked that my WIFI & BLUETOOTH are compatible too through System Report and that doesn't seem to be the problem either.


I did find one thing though. An Xfinity Wifi profile was blocking AirDrop from even being recognized in apps. I removed that and now it's not grayed out, but it still doesn't work. Go figure.
