Watch frozen after IOS8 update

My watch crashed after IOS8 update and will not come off the apple screen no matter what I do. The apple is consistently flashing and it doesn't seem to be charging. Anyone else have this issue?

watch My watch which is less than 6 months old, the screen freezes so unable to swipe down, is this a common problem?
