Why is there a tiny purple dot on my iPhone 11 screen?

I have a tiny purple dot on my iPhone 11 Screen. I bought this phone second hand for $470 Canadian. I’m scared that the spot will spread, since I read somewhere online it means the screen is failing? I cannot afford to repair it at the moment as I could barely afford the phone. I’m wondering if it’s ok to continue using it until I can actually afford to repair it, and will this harm the phone? Will it spread?

Hey there Robyn00hxjs,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We're happy to provide some assistance.

This article can help provide useful information about display anomalies:

About LCD display pixel anomalies for Apple products released in 2010 and later - Apple Support

As mentioned towards the bottom of the article, "If you are concerned about pixel anomalies on your display, take your Apple product to an Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple Retail Store for closer examination. There may be a charge for the evaluation."

You can find the nearest location to you here:

We hope this helps.

Have a great day!

Why did you post the very same question about the very same issue today, when you posted it yesterday?

Purple dot on iPhone 11 screen ? - Apple Community

If you weren't satisfied with my responses, you didn't need to post this again. You could have responded that you weren't satisfied and kept the original thread going.

The net of this is you bought a used iPhone, by your own admission, which came with this purple blemish. It clearly hasn't spread since you purchased the phone. And no one can possibly know if it will. But you also said you could not afford to buy a new screen. So at the end of the day, knowing you can't afford a new screen and we can't tell you if the dot will worsen, you've got nothing more helpful to look forward to.
