Typing on an ipad

As I type, and press for a space and then the next word and then a space , I often end up with a letter in between two words where the space should have been. That then makes a gobbledygook word of course. I have to then go back and delete the interven8ng letter. As you can see, typing this message it has happened! I know this is because the 8 is above the i - that is understandable but it’s not always such an obvious reason. Any help/ advise would be appreciated.

Things can just happen.

Using the virtual, software keyboard takes time and patience to get used to.

I have been using the iPad's virtual keyboard for many, MANY years snd have gotten very proficient with it over that time.

Fingers can slide around pretty easily on a glass surface.

You can type or accidentally hit wrong letters all the time, for awhile.

You just need to be more aware and dilligent whrn typing on the iPad's virtual software keyboard.

I use the keyboard’s autocorrect feature in suggestion mode, all the time, to immediately fix or suggest words based on my own writing prose.

Best outcome you csn hope for when using the iPad's OS virtual software keyboard.

Best of Luck to You!
