Update software on cellular data
Apple requires a Wi-Fi connection to update software. Some of us do not have Wi-Fi but instead only have our cell phones. We must be able to choose either Wi-Fi or cell data.

Updating an iPhone Over Cellular:
To update your iPhone model model using Cellular, you need a capable service and service. If you don't have this, then perform this update so through WiFi or Ethernet on a computer.

Back Up First:
IMPORTANT: If you have an option to update, however, then be certain you backup your iPhone first. That way, you will have something to restore your iPhone from should anything go wrong with the update.
