Trouble watching Apple TV on my Vizio tv

Whenever I try to watch something on the preinstalled Apple TV app on my Vizio tv, the screen freezes and then kicks me out

Verify that the TV system software is up-to-date.
Verify that the Apple TV app is up to date. The TV should be set up to automatically keep apps up-to-date.
Try to reset the Apple TV app. You will have to sign in again after that.
Try a cold restart of the TV (power off, not standby-wake).

I checked for update and reset Apple app. Still freezes and can’t even turn tv off with remote. Tried unplugging for a minute and then did a soft reset and still doing same thing…..
