Goes black

My iPhone X screen goes black during a call and the only way to wake it up is to start shutting off the phone, which ends the call. Is there a fix for this?

Hello,

The screen is designed to go black while the phone is near your ear, but is supposed to come back on when away from your ear. Do you have a screen protector on your phone? If so, perhaps it is covering the proximity sensor which controls it.

If not, perform an on-line search on "proximity sensor not working" to get a list of suggestions.

If no help, have it checked:

Good luck.
