why am i paying for storage when I have Apple One?

Members of my family are paying for storage for their individual iphones when I have subscribed to Apple One. Shouldn't my apple one subscription preclude any storage charges?

Only if you are paying for the Family or Premium Apple One plan and if the others choose to use the storage from Apple One.

Each family member would need to choose to use the Apple One provided storage. It does not change over automatically.
