My iPhone XR screen keeps buffering

What do I do when my iPhone closes me out of my phone randomly and only has the buffering screen and then has me unlock my phone again just to go back to the buffering screen?

iPhone XR, iOS 15

Hey there,

try force restart your iPhone:

Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.if you still facing this issue See this article ☞ If your iOS or iPadOS device restarts or displays the Apple logo or a spinning gear unexpectedly - Apple Support

It appears that there are crashes happening on your iPhone.

(1) Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

(2)  If the above does not work then - You may have a poor battery condition which cannot provide sufficient power for peak performance. What is the Battery Health of your iPhone? Open Settings  Battery  Battery Health and let us know which percentage you see for Maximum Capacity. Also note what is written under Peak Performance. If your battery's Maximum Capacity shows a value of 80% or less, then it has gone through its lifecycle and therefore should be replaced, according to Apple.

(3) If the battery health is above 80% then check your storage capacity. Do you have at least 10GB of free available storage space? If NOT then this can be the issue. Create some free space by deleting some media files such as photos, videos etc.
