IOS native app Books keeps deleting my books from local storage and it's 2022!

I even don't remember from which point it started irritating like that, but it can ruin the long flight! The second time this happened to me again was during my recent flight when I just closed the book that I am now reading for a few minutes. when I opened the application again the book was deleted and there were 4 hours left to fly!!!!

Apple can you please fix it finally? It's really bug not a feature! There can be an option to restrict this odd/strange/mean/evil behaviour from user side not just ios deletes books that you are currently reading!

The same behaviour was with dictionaries few years ago, but so far it works normally.
