my apple Mac Pro 2012? Alley body what do I need to keep it heathy and working

how do I protect and check it. also how do i use it as a mobile tool? ie use it when out and about?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Out and about is easy, detach the charger cable and the battery will power the computer. Until it needs to be recharge of course.


Keeping it healthy is mostly using good common sense as to heat issued, drops and bumps, not overwhelming the internal drive (leave 15-20% of tit completely unused), keeping it updated as much as possible, prevent spills, be wary of unknown email attachments, and don't install any software you aren't completely sure it's from a legitimate source.
