Noticed it on CNN.com after latest OS update. Doesn't happen on other sites (as far as I know), I run Monterey 12.5.1, Safari 15.6.1. Here's a partial screenshot. It just keeps going round and round. Annoying!.

Finally got this fixed. Should have known to do this myself, but apple support had me go into Safe Mode and the circle disappeared. When I restarted, the circle was still gone.
Had to have been caused by some "trash" that was left by the latest update, and Safe Mode cleared it out.

That's an icon used on some sites to indicate video is loading.
Since the vid plays with no problem with picture or sound, I din't know what else is trying to load. It spins until the video ends.
What is the circle in center of videos?
