iPhone 11 connectivity issue

I am currently on ios 15.6.1, but ever since ios 15.5, I have been having connectivity issues. When dropping to 2 bars of cell service, nothing will load, and when I use the PingPlotter app it shows 100% packet loss, and the phone heats up, the display lowers its brightness until it’s really dark and drains the battery. Connectivity is just fine on WiFi, but if I leave the house and drop to 2 bars of LTE, service is unusable. Before iOS 15.5, I remember 2 bars i could still get things to load, and it wasn’t an issue. Resetting the network settings does nothing. I have pulled the SIM card and re inserted and issue is still present. I know I’m not the only one, and I’m not buying a new phone, but if I do it definitely wont be an apple.

Hi Fordracer16,

If this issue started after an update, check to see if you have a cellular update under Settings > General > About. If you do, a box will pop up asking you to apply the update, take a moment to do so.

Additionally, have you contacted your carrier regarding this issue, if the problem happens when you drop to two bars or lower its likely related to having poor connectivity to your network. Your carrier may be able to look at your logs and isolate if there's any issues on their end.

Cheers!
