Screen Time bug

I have screen time setup for all my kids device’s, all running latest 15.6.1. The problem is that the downtime blocking does not work on the app they are on when downtime starts. All other apps are blocked properly but does not kick them off the app they were on and allows unrestricted use of that app. I have it set to block at down time. Screen time is the most important feature as a parent and it’s very buggy and rarely works right. Also the time limit does not seem to work right either. Screen shots attached of our setup and child’s activity. I should not have too go through 10 troubleshooting steps to get this to work properly. I mean we can send high definition pictures back from Mars but can’t get screen time to work as reliably as a phone call… really

Apple just get it right already!!!!!

For the record I recently switched from years of Android and all I can say is I just traded one set of frustrating problems for another equally frustrating set of problems.. iPhone is not as good as everyone seems to think.

Go to Settings and tap Screen Time. Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions and enter your Screen Time passcode. Tap Content Restrictions, then tap Web Content. Choose Unrestricted Access, Limit Adult Websites, or Allowed Websites Only.

Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod ...

Set up parental controls with Family Sharing on iPhone

  1. Go to Settings > [your name] > Family Sharing > Screen Time.
  2. Tap the name of a child in your family group, tap Turn On Screen Time, then follow the onscreen instructions.

Mobile brand/model selection is an individual choice based on many parameters. Such as Money, Feature, Status, Aesthetic, Utility, User-Friendliness, Availability, Warranty Coverage, Service Support, Resale value, Technology and many other factors. Choose yours judiciously!
