What are the best export settings for my situation?

I know this question has been asked hundreds of times but I need to get an answer from the folks in the know...FCP Forum.

My situation. I have been producing an hour long sports program for 32 years. It used to air on local cable now it streams on my website (through Vimeo) and YouTube. I shoot in1080p 60 and edit in 1080p 60.

Question 1. Should I edit in 720P 60 since most content on Vimeo and YouTube ends up in 720p anyway?

Question 2. Last week's show was 4.6 gigs. That is pretty large for streaming correct? Takes a long time to upload.

Question 3. I use the share to Facebook template in FCP. Is there a better way? Maybe change some numbers in Compressor?

I really need a protocol that keeps the quality up and the size down.

Some ideas from my go to friends on this forum are always appreciated very much.

As always,

Cheers.

Tom

I would edit in 1080p.

Youtube and Vimeo will compress your video to different sizes, and serve each user different versions depending on device and network connection. A user seeing your video on a mac with a speedy internet can perfectly well view it in full HD.
