What do I do when my 2nd gen pencil doesn’t seem to work but when I connect it through the magnets, it still appears as if it’s loading at the top of the screen?

I had an incident were I left it in my pocket and did the laundry without checking the pockets (I was in a hurry and it went through the washing machine and drying machine) and so I tried to connect it to my iPad but it would only show up as Apple Pencil like it would be loading at the top but it won’t scribble. I tried resetting my iPad, the Forget this device thing, and I keep having the same results over and over. I really don’t want to replace it since it still looks like it kinda works but I’m running out of options…

Unfortunately, you will have to pay to replace the Apple Pencil.

If it is still under its free, 1-year warranty, it is possible that you still might be eligible for a free replacement of the Pencil.

If no more warranty time, then you will have to pay full price for a new Pencil

Water and electronics do not mix

AND NO Pencil is actually repairable.

Apple Pencils are completely sealed up, glue-up, and internally glued-up/silicone-d in electronic hardware drawing/writing implements that cannot ever be repaired without actually physically destroying the Pencil.
