Trying to get pics off of very old IPod

I have a MA623LL IPod that has pics on it that I would really like to be able to save and share online. I have tried uploading to my computer (Dell) and I can see the device but when I click DCIM Folder it says its empty. When I try to connect it to ITunes it says "Cannot connect because of invalid response from device". Is there any hope of saving these pics?

iPod 4th Generation flashing the Apple screen I have an iPod fourth generation that is flashing the apple screen, turning white then shutting off and keeps repeating this problem over and over. I have tried many different things like trying to restore it and using a program called iMyFone that is supposed to help it get out of recovery mode and that flashing screen. Photos on iPod I have a very old iPod and I have over 14,000 pictures on it, I cannot transfer them to a computer, when I open the DCIM folder it say there are no files however I have over 20gb of photos on it. I really want to transfer them because I recently both my dogs a month apart and there are literally hundreds of photos of them on this iPod. Is there any way I can transfer them, iTunes does not recognize the iPod and I think its because it is so old, tech has moved on. I tried transferring them to the Photo stream but I cannot transfer them there either, and I cannot air drop them, the only thing I have managed to do is email a few to myself but with so many it would take me years of constant emailing. I would really love to get those photos onto my computer or at least another hard drive because I am worried the iPod is going to fail one day and they will be lost forever. Can anyone help please Lee D

how to transfer files from ipad to PC? I'm trying to transfer files from my old iPad 2 to my PC before I do a reset so that the files are not lost I cannot back the iPad up to iCloud as it won't recognize my Apple ID and Password So, I need to directly access the files (music, documents) on the ipad to archive on my PC I followed the advice on the Apple support page, downloaded and installed iTunes on my PC and connected the iPad via USB The photo library was recognized and copied automatically by Windows But when I started iTunes, it cannot see my iPad and does not give me the option to browse or move files The Apple support article shows an image of the iTunes screen that shows a device icon but this is not present on my screen Any thoughts on how to find my ipad in iTunes? Failing that, are any of the 3rd party file managers for iPad useful? thanks, Mike
