Can I activate a new iPhone without using Face ID?

Hello!

I did not find this on this forum. And neither on the web (satisfyingly).

So, can I activate a new iPhone without using Face ID? And can I use it permanently without using Face ID ? Like never ever?

My new iPhone is "not compatible" with Face ID My new iPhone 12 Pro apparently is "not compatible" with the face id, and I would have to use a pin to unlock the device.
