Recovery Key help

Hello, I need some help connecting my apple ID to my old ipod (I think it's 6th generation). When I try to link my apple ID to my ipod it is asking for a recovery key, it says that the key was provided to me when I enabled two step verification but I forgot what they key was. I do not have another apple device connected to my apple ID. How do I find or reset my recovery key? Please help me, thankyou.

There isn't a way to look up your Recovery Key. You can try to generate a new Recovery Key using the steps in the article below.

If you successfully generate a new key, I suggest you write the key number down in case you need to use the key.
