I got a message saying liquid detected and charging not available. My phone has not received any water damage. Why won’t my phone charge through the charger port?

I received an alert when trying to charge my iPhone 12 Pro Max. It said liquid detected. Now it won’t charge through the charger port but will charge wirelessly. My phone has not been exposed to any water damage. Why is this happening?

As mentioned, you. Need to have Apple inspect it and go from there. Condensation from being in a high humidity situation (a bathroom after/during a steamy hot shower for example) could possibly explain why it believes a water intrusion occurred. But at the end of the day only an inspection will tell you for sure.
