iOS 16 Touch Screen Problems

iPhone 11. Updating to iOS16 causes touch screen to fail.

Updated to iOS 15.7 first, then updated to iOS16 straight afterwards. Both updates ran with no issues.

After update to 16, touch screen is operating randomly. (Touch one icon and another is selected, cannot put correct numbers in to make a phone call etc) Everything else appears to work. No problems with touch before the update.

Omg!! I thought that I was going crazy!!! Ever since I updated my iPhone 8 to the 16. IOS update I have been having problems with my keyboard when I try typing a text or email, I am pressing letters that I think are right only they are coming up wrong, and because I type fast I would just hit send thinking that my text or email was correct without looking at it. I sent a couple of texts to my son and he actually asked if I was drinking or something because my text looked as though I was drunk and couldn't text right!! I don't drink!!

I also have problems swiping, and my screen just won't respond when I try to do something in apps where it feels like the screen is frozen, I also can't scroll up or down at times!! I really thought that I was going nuts with the texting with the wrong letters coming up!! Is there anything that we can do to fix this?

I have an iPhone 8 as well, and I am having the same problem as you, and everyone else on this thread, ( I thought I was the only one,) and that I was going crazy or that I was having problems seeing or something. I haven't replaced anything on the phone except the battery and I want to throw my phone when it freezes or displays the wrong letters!

Yes sir, there is one thing only you can do with this hactic screen is that when this happens you have to scroll with 2 fingers on the screen and then lock the screen just for a while or few seconds then i hope so In Sha Allah it works and the last thing is that we are waiting for the ios 16.2 and we are requested to Apple please fix this and we are hoping that they fix this In Sha Allah in the next ios 16.2.

Not being tech minded (it's why I have only Apple) I can't speak to the who, what, where, how and when but... A few days ago I had my phone charging and I just happened to be looking at the screen when this happened. My phone turned itself on and unlocked, all the app icons started vibrating with the "-" sign next to the them. That went on for about 10 seconds, a couple of different apps opened and closed, the phone shut off and went back to charging. Don't ask, I don't know, but now my SE2020 2nd Gen. with iOS16.1.1 is working fine. Yesterday I downloaded iOS16.1.2 and my phone works like new.

I have iPhone XS and now using iOS 16.2 still have the same problem. Actually, I reset my iPhone a month ago when it was 16.1 and it seemed OK for a while. Later on, it showed the same symptoms and when I realized there was this newer version of iOS (16.2) I upgraded it. Then it got worse, I again tried reseting it but It did not help. I want an urgent stable solution from Apple. I don't want to buy a new one just because Apple makes me.

cem ~ Does your iPhone XS still have its original battery?
