Duplicate photo

In the Photos app, under the Albums tab Utilities section, I expect to see "Duplicates," however, I only see "Imports" and " Recently Deleted" under Utilities. Am I missing something?

As a test, save a new photo twice to your Photos Library, so you will have a duplicate item.

Does this bring the duplicate album forward?

And be prepared for a long wait. The scan for duplicates will probably need a very long time, just like the face detection and object recognition. Keep the iPhone connected to a power supply, when you are not using it.

It only showed up for me when I actually had duplicates. So personally I would not worry about it. iOS 16.0
