Can't use Apple Account Balance to complete purchase

It is apple id balance that we are all trying to use it to order apple products in apple online store. We are all struggled for almost 10+ days on this yet no response from apple support team. No Solution from Apple!

To whom so ever from apple reading this, note that we all tried all possible ways to solve! But no luck! It is definitely an issue from apple side and apple should take all possible ways to resolve this!

Update:

My order went through for a phone pick up later today.

I honestly didn't expect it to go through as it was a 256gb model when I just wanted a 128gb one.

In a panic, I cancelled it.

I hope i'm not in the same situation I just got out of lol.

Yep, well $1075 of it. Then $89 with my credit card as the amount was short.

It went through though.

Didn't get the dreaded payment authorization failed.

Now if a 128gb comes up and I get that message when trying to check out, I can assume I will have to wait 3-5 days for this to fix itself again.

Man I really shouldn't have done that.

Im not sure what the solution was… I just tried it today after pandas4days said his/hers went thru. I did call into Apple on Saturday and they said they would remove a block and get back to me after 24 hours which they never did. So I wonder if that’s what fixed it? Not sure….

Yes I had a few cancelled orders. I know others have as well but couldn’t use any of their account balanace but I was able to use $500 of my account balance towards preorder of 2 AirPod pro 2, which I cancelled after they went through. This was yesterday when I tried. But it didn’t go through for the iPhone 14 pro yesterday. It successfully went through today.

I didn’t cancel that one YET… I will though cause I changed my mind from 128 to 256gb. However I did use that Apple balance yesterday towards AirPod pro2 that went through and I cancelled that order yesterday after it went thru. I also cancelled one that was for regular AirPods (not the pros) just cause I was trying to see if the balanace would work for those, and they did yesterday

It is clearly some error with the website. If we cancel the product that was placed with the apple balance, next we can't use that balance to place that product. But we could able to place order of some other order.

Same problem here. I have a valid credit card attached to my account, so that is not the issue.

I've called Apple Support on 3 different days, gotten bounced around each time to no less than 4 people, only to find myself back to where I started. Nobody knows how to address the issue.

Apple needs to fix this ASAP.

so could you help me with what i'm asking the CS agent then?

like, do I ask them to create the order with the credit card that I have on file and once it doesn't go through (?) tell them to apply my apple balance?

I kinda tried to explain this to a CS agent but they just used my apple balance and got the same error as I do...

did you get charged? ie was the money deducted from your apple balance for your purchase? I'm afraid that while this creates the order, since it's not gone through the payment verification process, -once it does- it might fail again.

Has anyone ever been in this issue ??

my order was just cancelled today by the system itself and I tried replacing the order but it shows apple balance disabled

What solution is the apple support providing ? You allow apple gift cards to be purchased & load the apple account balance , but the minute we apply this balance to any order purchase you decline the payment method. Blood **** its your own website & sign in credentials we are using to make a purchase .

Message which I received on apple store website : Your payment authorization failed. Please verify your information and try again, or try another payment method.

also why cant the balance be moved to apple pay to make a payment at your store? The store representative forced me to make a credit card payment otherwise he said i will lose my iphone 14 pro max reservation

I'm in the same situation here. I have $$ on my balance and trying to purchase anything from the store via website, phone or ipad lets me go through the whole process, add everything to my cart for in store pickup and then let's me use my balance. Even says "you have enough to cover the entire order" and shows me the balance left underneath. Then once we get to the place order part....just says the same error as everyone else sees. I have been on the phone and bounced around from department to department. The media team, post sales etc. Last one put in a "boss escalation", we'll see where that leads. I'll never ever but any $$ on my apple account. They are just holding the money hostage, should be criminal.

I have been fighting with the same issue, cant buy anything with my Account Balance i have more than 30 calls and chats and nothing, i feel like apple took my money from me...

When i try to buy something it says "Your payment authorization failed. Please verify your information and try again, or try another payment method" but im just using my store balance...

This is totally frustrating!!!!!!!!
