after iOS 16 can we get the Notification Centre back to the middle/top of Lock Screen? I keep missing notifications

You can try a forced reboot and see if that helps. This is not a conventional restart. Sometimes it will fix small glitches, You can find the instructions in here.

I am facing an issue with the notifications. Even after selecting 'count' in my notification settings, I am still getting my notification in stacks. I have restarted my iphone 13 pro max too but still facing the issue. It seems there is a glitch. Kindly help.
I cannot agree more, I miss notifications constantly now in iOS 16... also typical Apple to overcomplicate things.. when the screen is unlocked, if you swipe down from the top left to bring up the notifications screen, it doesn't actually bring them up, it brings you to basically your home screen if the phone was locked (but it's unlocked) and you then have to swipe upward from the bottom to then see any notifications or to see the message 'No Older Notifications'. Notifications worked so much better in iOS 15.. why did you have to blow up something that worked, making a change just to make a change is impractical and beyond annoying. Do better Apple!
You can only change the way that notifications are grouped in Settings>Notifications>Display As. You can’t change the position.
I already have! I also spoke with an Engineer friend at Apple too.
