WhatsApp storage on iPhone

Hi.

I find on my iPhone storage that Watsapp uses a large space of memory. I don’t know it they are backups or what it is, because on the second place there’s also WhatsApp, and I understand that it is heavy because I don’t want to delete my conversations and media that I have there. Does anyone know what happens if I delete the first thing that you see in the picture? I don’t want to loose my information and media on my chats.

I have restarted my iPhone and I have updated it too, but it still there.

We'd like to help provide some helpful guidance on determining how WhatsApp chooses or manages their saved content as storage. With this being a third-party application, the best advice would be to contact the app developer to help determine which is safe to delete to free up storage or explanation of their storage break down. You can follow the steps in How to contact an app developer - Apple Support

"Contact the developer of an iOS, iPadOS, or watchOS app

Open the App Store on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Search for the app, then tap it. If you can't find it, tap the account button or your photo at the top of the screen, tap Purchased, tap "Not on this [device]," then tap the app.
The app's product page appears. Scroll to the Ratings & Reviews section, then tap App Support. If you don't see App Support, make sure that you're signed in with the correct Apple ID."
