Apple dose not care what an app experiences. The current work around is off load the WeChat from setting->iPhone storage->WeChat . Not the custom content. Then reinstall the WeChat. It works for me.

Figured it out. It is in Settings -> General -> iPhone Storage
Press the, "Gear Wheel" Settings -> General -> iPhone Storage... Scroll Down to: WeChat -> Offload App, or Delete App
