Issue with scanner of Epson NX300 and OS Monterey

Upgraded to Monterey. Downloaded updated drivers. Cannot use the scanner function on my Epson NX300

From what system did you upgrade from? If it was from before Catalina then the scanning portion of the printer/scanner drivers may be 32 bit. You can find out if that's true by downloading and running the free GO64 app. It'l tell you which apps are 32 bit, which are 64 and which have 32 bit components in them.


If that's the case then follow Keith's suggestions about Preview, VueScan and Image Capture. Otherwise try resetting the print system according to this Apple document: Reset the Mac printing system to solve a problem - Apple Support
