Apple Car play/Bluetooth

I just upgraded to the iPhone 14 pro max and ever since everyone complains they can barely hear me on CarPlay as if I’m whispering and on Bluetooth they say it’s louder but sounds like I’m in a wind tunnel and still difficult to hear. I am very disappointed as I had no trouble at all a few days ago on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. It’s obviously an issue with the new phone/iOS but what can I do about it? I already played around with all the settings/volumes I could find.

As far as today and since last Wednesday, this solution seems to work for me. I’ll see if it still does in an hour when I’ll take my car.

go to your car dealer and ask for a factory reset of the entertainment system.

mon your iPhone, forget the car associated in car play and Bluetooth settings.

restart your iPhone.

when factory reset of the car is done, pair again your phone and restart the car.

I also have noticed that if your network connection in 4G 5G is poor or if you are in an underground parking, CarPlay has issues to connect.

I have the same problem in a new Grand Wagoneer. I replaced the phone thinking something was wrong with it. Same problem. The dealership thought it was the car (still in warranty) and just replaced the radio (I can't imagine what that cost), but the problem persists. I can't hear the person I'm calling over the car hands-free system, but they can hear me. I have to go to the iPhone speaker setting and enable the handset to talk and hear. Incredibly frustrating. Dangerous too.

Driving 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 2SS. Never had an issue with any of my previous iPhones and ADNROIDS (Galaxy S21 ULTRA), including iPhone 11 PRO MAX. I purchased iPhone 14 PRO MAX and now when I use Bluetooth people on the other side cannot hear me. They tell me the sound is muffled and that the volume of my voice is very low. I am 100% sure this has something to do with iOS 16 + new CarPlay + 14 PRO MAX (specifically).

If we don’t tell them they won’t know to fix it and my original post also states when I unplug and use Bluetooth it was still difficult to be heard in other ways(all the background noise).

Also, a couple of conversations unplugged will kill your battery and when I pay what I pay for a phone I want them to know there is an issue and get it fixed. Bluetooth and CarPlay are NOT a new technology and I don’t understand why they would be having issues with it in the first place.

Is there a work around… sure… is CarPlay wireless over Bluetooth for a majority of the users… No. therefore the function doesn’t work. It’s extremely annoying a phone over a thousand dollars doesn’t work when we try to use it. Apple please fix issue asap. Many of us rely on CarPlay working in conjunction with gps… the work around is not a long term or short term solution.

Hello there, I wrote here in this community on the 21st of September about the issue. Today it's the 6th of october and NOTHING happend. I thought there will be quite fast an update (16.0.3 ???). I cannot use carplay to do phonecalls. That not acceptable anymore! If you don't care, I want my money back! After I spend two hours (in total) with the Apple support and also sent them my logfiles to help them. VERY disapointing.
