How do I change the highlighted weekend on Macbook Calendar

We understand you're seeing Friday and Saturday as the weekend highlighted in your Calendar app and want to change it. We'd be happy to help out.

To clarify, has your Calendar always been this way or was this something you had changed at some point? If you change the language, region, and calendar for your Mac under Apple menu  > System Preferences > Language & Region, does it remain the same?
